In the world of adoption, you are not allowed to share much information publicly. But I will say that sometime this year my baby boy celebrated a birthday. And on that day, a group of friends gathered, to celebrate him. I brought along a small blue elephant to represent my boy, in the country where he is currently waiting. I invited a small group of friends together, to enjoy some good food, good drinks, and great company. The day was bittersweet. I was so happy that my friends took time out of their busy lives to honor my boy. But it didn't hurt that he was physically not there. I may never know if his birthday was celebrated in his orphanage or not. But I will promise you this, Elliott was celebrated in South Carolina and more importantly in my heart. My fundraiser goes for two more weeks. I humbly ask you to share with friends and family this fundraiser.
